Miljö 100 A · 100S – ventilation cabinet for e.g. a solvent recycler

Art. no. 2-0100 · 2-0100S

Safe and efficient ventilation when handling hazardous substances

Miljö is a ventilation cabinet that creates a safe and healthy working environment when handling hazardous substances — designed to house equipment such as solvent recyclers. The spill edge prevents leakage from reaching the floor, the cabinet is prepared for supply and exhaust air and has space for a light fitting. Robust construction in galvanised steel, in two depths: Miljö 100 A (800 mm) and Miljö 100S (1200 mm).

1
For equipment that needs ventilation

A ventilated space for e.g. a solvent recycler or other equipment that requires exhaust air.

2
Spill edge prevents leakage

The edge keeps spills inside the cabinet and protects the floor from leakage.

3
Prepared for supply and exhaust air

Easy connection to the workshop's ventilation system.

4
Space for a light fitting

Prepared for built-in lighting (accessory).

5
Two depths

Available as Miljö 100 A (800 mm deep) and 100S (1200 mm) for different equipment.

6
Swedish-made quality

Robust materials for long-lasting use. Manufactured in Sweden.

About Miljö

Miljö is a ventilated cabinet for equipment that requires exhaust air – typically a solvent recycler for solvent recovery, but also other equipment that gives off vapours during operation. The cabinet comes in two depths: Miljö 100 A at 800 mm deep and Miljö 100S at 1200 mm.

Equipment that gives off solvent vapours is often placed wherever there happens to be room, without a ventilated enclosure. Miljö gives that equipment its own ventilated space where the vapours are extracted in a controlled way instead of spreading into the workshop air.

Applications

The cabinet is mainly used together with a solvent recycler, where solvent is recovered and returned to the workshop's cleaning process. The combination is economically attractive for workshops with high thinner consumption: recovered solvent reduces both purchasing and the amount of hazardous waste that has to be collected.

The choice between Miljö 100 A and 100S is governed by the depth of your equipment. Measure the machine before deciding – we are happy to help check that it will fit.

Technology and construction

A spill edge runs around the base of the cabinet and keeps any leakage inside the cabinet instead of letting it reach the floor. For a solvent recycler working with hot solvent liquid, that is a protection that matters in practice.

The cabinet is prepared for both supply and exhaust air, which makes connection to the workshop's ventilation system simple. There is also space for a built-in light fitting, ordered as an accessory. Miljö is manufactured in Sweden from robust materials.

Installation and operation

See the technical comparison below for full data per model. Contact us and we'll go through which equipment is to stand in the cabinet and which depth is required.

The economics of a solvent-recycler cabinet

A Miljö cabinet is rarely bought for its own sake, but for the equipment that will stand in it — usually a solvent recycler for solvent recovery. As a ventilated cabinet it gives the solvent recycler an enclosed, exhaust-air-connected place instead of letting the vapours spread freely through the premises.

For a workshop with high thinner consumption the solvent-recycler storage often pays for itself: solvent that is recovered and returned to cleaning is solvent that does not have to be bought again or disposed of as hazardous waste. Miljö 100S, with its greater depth, also accommodates wider equipment — measure the machine first, and we'll check that it will fit.

Frequently asked questions

What is the Miljö cabinet used for?

A ventilated enclosure for equipment that requires exhaust air – usually a solvent recycler for solvent recovery, but also other equipment that gives off vapours during operation.

Which depth should I choose?

Miljö 100 A is 800 mm deep, Miljö 100S is 1200 mm. The choice is governed by the depth of your equipment. Measure the machine before deciding – we are happy to help check that it will fit.

What does the spill edge do?

It runs around the base of the cabinet and keeps any leakage inside the cabinet instead of letting it reach the floor. For a solvent recycler working with hot solvent liquid, that is a protection that matters in practice.

Check the dimensions first

At 225 cm tall the cabinet will not go upright through an ordinary door (often ~200 cm). Lay it on its side, slide it in and stand it up in place – allow for at least about 2.5 m ceiling height. Get in touch if you are unsure.

About the light fitting

The right lighting makes work at the Miljö cabinet both safer and easier. A light fitting is available as an accessory, and which Ex rating the fitting must have is determined by the premises' area-classification plan – we're happy to help you choose the right one.
