Privacy policy for Paintpoint

1. Introduction

Paintpoint AB ("we", "us" or "our") is the data controller for the processing of personal data described in this privacy policy. We are committed to protecting your personal data. Here we explain what data we collect, how we use it and what rights you have.

2. Personal data we collect

  • Basic information: name
  • Contact information: address, telephone number, email address
  • Company details: company name and role, in the case of business contacts

3. How we use the data

  • Handling quotation requests, orders and deliveries
  • Customer service, support and warranty matters
  • Invoicing and accounting (legal obligation)

4. Storage and sharing

The data is stored only for as long as it is needed for the purposes above, or for as long as the law requires (for example the Swedish Bookkeeping Act). We never sell personal data on. Data may be shared with carriers and payment-service providers to the extent required to complete delivery and payment.

5. Cookies and external services

The website uses no tracking or advertising cookies. All fonts are hosted locally on the website — no calls are made to external font services. The contact form is handled by our web provider acting as our data processor.

6. Your rights

You have the right to request access to, rectification or erasure of your personal data, to request restriction of processing and to object to processing. Contact us at info@paintpoint.se. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (Integritetsskyddsmyndigheten, IMY).

Our processing of personal data in brief

This page describes how Paintpoint processes personal data under the General Data Protection Regulation, GDPR. We have deliberately built the website to collect as little as possible: we use no tracking cookies, no advertising networks and no external fonts that pass your IP address on. That is also why the site has no cookie banner — there is nothing to consent to.

The only personal data we receive from the website is what you yourself enter in the contact form: name, company, email, telephone and your message. We use it to answer your enquiry and to be able to follow up on the matter. We never sell it on and we do not add you to any mailing without you having asked us to.

If you want to know what data we hold about you, or have it corrected or erased, simply get in touch at info@paintpoint.se. The details below describe the processing more formally.

Why we have no cookie banner

Most websites greet you with a box asking for consent to cookies. We have none, and that is not an oversight. The site is built without tracking cookies, without advertising networks and with the fonts hosted by us rather than fetched from Google. There is quite simply nothing to consent to, and a banner would then just be a click-box with no content behind it.

The consequence is that we know less about you than most of our competitors know about their visitors. We do not know who you are, where you come from or which other sites you have visited. That is a deliberate choice: a buyer comparing suppliers should be able to do so undisturbed.

What happens to what you write in the form

The data in the contact form is used to answer your enquiry and to be able to follow up on the matter. We do not add you to any newsletter, we never sell the data on, and we do not share it with third parties for marketing purposes.

Technically the form is handled by the Formspree service, which forwards the message to us. The data is stored with us for as long as it is needed for the matter and for any business relationship that may follow. If you would like us to erase it sooner, we will do so.

Your rights

You have the right to find out what data we hold about you, to have it corrected if it is wrong, and to have it erased. You also have the right to object to the processing and to complain to the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY) if you consider that we have handled your data incorrectly.

In practice, an email to info@paintpoint.se is all it takes. We are a small company and we answer ourselves — you do not need to phrase things in legally correct terms, just tell us what you want.
