For over 40 years we have been a reliable partner for workshop equipment, refinishing solutions and ergonomic work platforms. We supply both in-house developed systems and internationally recognised products — all with a focus on safety, durability and efficiency.
At the core of the range are our own Greenline® systems for mixing rooms and workshops, which we develop and manufacture in Frillesås — giving us full control over quality, durability and lead times. We are also the exclusive distributor in Sweden of WALL-MAN® and LIFTMAN™ from Norway's Reglo, two pneumatic work platforms that have revolutionised working at height in refinishing and maintenance.
Our products are used across many different types of operations.
We sell directly and through distributors across the Nordics and the Baltics. Our products are meant to be practical and to last — we have customers still using equipment we installed back in the 1980s. Many of the larger products are made to order with a lead time of 4–6 weeks, while the smaller ones are usually in stock for immediate delivery.
Olof Johanson founds Färg-Depån AB — "Everything for car refinishing" — which grows into a well-known name among Sweden's car painters, with branches in Stockholm and Växjö. The company is sold to a paint importer in 1986.
Olof founds Paint Point AB, which from 1991 offers refinishing accessories and fume cupboards for paint mixing rooms.
The Dutch company EMM International comes on board as a part-owner and the business becomes EMM Sverige AB — part of a worldwide network with over 2 000 products in 130 countries, with consumables from the likes of Colad and Hamach.
Back to our roots: we once again focus entirely on our own manufactured Greenline products for mixing rooms and workshops, alongside the Reglo personnel lifts. All manufacturing takes place within the Nordics.

In depth
Paintpoint has its roots in Färg-Depån, which Olof Johanson started in 1972 with the motto "Everything for car refinishing". Paint Point AB was founded in 1987. Since then the company has changed name, ownership and focus several times — but the customers have largely remained the same, and several of them still use equipment we supplied in the 1980s and 1990s.
Today the core of the business is our own manufactured Green Line systems for mixing rooms and workshops, developed and built in Frillesås, south of Gothenburg, alongside the Norwegian-made Reglo personnel lifts Wall-Man and Liftman.
Manufacturing in-house costs more than importing. We do it anyway, for two reasons. The first is that we can adapt a solution to the customer's premises rather than asking the customer to adapt the premises to the product. The second is that we can guarantee spare parts long after a model has been discontinued — which is the whole point of equipment built to last twenty-five years.
It also gives us full control over quality. When a workshop calls about a cabinet from 1994, it is often the very same people who once built it who answer.
We are not environmental consultants, but we try to do things sensibly. We focus on products that are built to last – and that can be recycled when they have one day served their time. If you build something that lasts 25 years it does not need replacing, and that is probably the most environmentally friendly thing you can do. Everything is made from steel – galvanised sheet, stainless steel and steel beams – a material that can be recycled over and over again, and it is done here in the Nordics so transport distances stay short. Some parts we only 3D-print when they are needed, so we do not manufacture unnecessarily. And our enclosed cleaning cabinets help you cut down on solvent, waste and energy in the workshop. No grand promises – just the things we actually do.
