Clean 100 – mixing and cleaning cabinet

Clean 100 is Green Line's ventilated mixing and cleaning cabinet. It brings together the tasks that otherwise spread out across the premises – paint mixing, test spraying and gun cleaning – in a single ventilated unit on one square metre of floor space. The cabinet is also often used in the prep zone, to wash off filler knives and other equipment.

The cabinet is intended for either solventborne or waterborne materials. If you work with both systems you need two cabinets — they must never be mixed in the same washer. Why, we explain in Never wash water and solvent in the same washer.

The guiding idea is that the painter should never have to choose between working comfortably and working safely. With a built-in supply-air box as standard, fresh air is supplied constantly to the work zone, while the exhaust air removes solvent vapours and paint particles before they reach the breathing zone. The result is a workplace where the painter can stay put and work with concentration without being exposed to what otherwise spreads into the workshop air.

Clean 100 is used in refinishing and bodyshops where paint is mixed daily and where guns and cups must be cleaned between every job. The cabinet suits the smaller workshop that needs a complete station in a small space just as well as the larger facility where Clean 100 complements an existing mixing room with a dedicated cleaning and test-spraying station.

The cabinet is suitable for either waterborne or solventborne materials. Which of them you choose is determined by your paint system — and if the choice is between both, the answer is two cabinets, not one.

The heart of the cabinet is the Spray Stop cartridge. Together with the cabinet's existing filters it provides triple separation: the paint particles are captured in three stages before the air leaves the cabinet. This protects both ventilation ducts and fan from deposits and keeps maintenance down over time. The paint trap is positioned to be easy to reach, so test spraying and gun cleaning can be done directly at the trap without detours.

The body is made of galvanised steel with dimensions of 1000 × 800 × 2250 mm. Under the bench there is a ventilated space where cleaning fluid and paint residues can be stored safely until they have cured – a detail that makes everyday work easier while keeping the workshop within the regulations for handling hazardous waste.

The cabinet connects to the workshop's ventilation with an exhaust-air connection of Ø250 mm and an exhaust air requirement of 1900 m³/h, plus supply air via Ø160 mm and 350 m³/h. It is prepared for a built-in EX LED light fitting, which provides the light required to judge colour and coverage during precision mixing. Clean 100 is often called a mixing cabinet, and it is the combination that makes the cabinet useful: the same unit the paint is mixed in is also the one where the guns are cleaned. For the smaller workshop this means that mixing, test spraying and gun cleaning fit on one square metre instead of being spread across three places on the premises.

If the workshop has high volume and cleans guns continuously, Clean 100 can be complemented with a separate gun cleaner or Systemtvätt, so that the mixing surface is kept free. Yes — but not at the same time, and not in the same cabinet. The cabinet is built for both systems, but you have to choose one of them per cabinet. Washing guns with residues of waterborne and solventborne paint in the same tank leads to coagulation, clogged channels and ruined cleaning fluid. The replacement interval depends on how much is sprayed at the paint trap. The cartridge is positioned to be easy to reach, so replacement is a quick task the workshop does itself without a service technician. Get in touch and we'll go through a reasonable interval plan based on your volume.

Clean 100 needs 1900 m³/h exhaust air via Ø250 mm and 350 m³/h supply air via Ø160 mm. If you are unsure whether your existing system is sufficient, we'll help with a review before you decide.

The stated exhaust air requirement assumes that Clean is used as a fume cupboard, for example in an open space without its own mixing-room ventilation. If the cabinet stands in a purpose-built, well-ventilated room it can instead be run as a ventilated cabinet with considerably lower exhaust air. The figures are indicative – the actual requirement is determined by the premises' area-classification plan and applicable regulations, so always check against it. The cabinet is 225 cm tall and will not fit upright through a standard door (often ~200 cm). Lay it down on its side, slide it in and stand it up in place – then you need a ceiling height of at least about 2.5 m. Contact us if in doubt.

Clean is used for cleaning guns and parts – good lighting means you can see straight away that the result is clean. A light fitting is an accessory, and which Ex rating is required is determined by the premises' area-classification plan. Get in touch and we'll help you choose.
