How did we calculate this?

The example assumes one painter, 3 washes/day and 220 working days per year, a labour cost of 450 SEK/hour, and that an enclosed cabinet recovers around 80% of the solvent compared with open handling (1 L/wash at 30 SEK, disposal 15 SEK/L).

The calculation is based on industry standards and conservative assumptions and is only an indication – not a definitive ROI. Your actual outcome depends on utilisation, product prices, waste costs and how you account for labour time.

About Systemtvätt 195

Systemtvätt 195 is Green Line's most complete cleaning solution for the refinishing workshop. A single unit holds three separate washes – automatic thinner wash, manual water wash and a practical sink – which lets the workshop handle both solventborne and waterborne paints without compromising on cleaning quality.

Bringing the washing tasks together in one unit is not just about saving floor space. It is about the cleaning actually getting done. When the right wash is in place, at the right height, right next to the mixing work, the temptation to put off cleaning is reduced – and with it the risk of contamination in the next job.

Applications

Simultaneous cleaning of three guns: automatic thinner wash, manual water wash and washing/rinsing in the sink. Each task has its own place in the cabinet, so they don't compete for the same surface. The cabinet is aimed at workshops with high throughput, where several guns are used in parallel and where cleaning otherwise becomes a bottleneck. The automatic thinner wash cleans several guns at once while the painter does other things, and the manual water wash takes care of the waterborne systems that today dominate the basecoat at most paint suppliers.

Systemtvätt 195 is particularly suited to workshops working to factory warranties and quality certifications, where documented and consistent cleaning is a prerequisite for keeping paint quality even over time.

Technology and construction

The waste water is coagulated within the unit, which separates out the paint particles and minimises the amount of liquid waste that has to be handled externally. The cabinet is prepared for a solvent recycler, so that the solvent can be recovered automatically and used again. (We don't sell solvent recyclers, but the cabinet is built to house one.)

The construction is galvanised steel with dimensions of 1950 × 800 × 2250 mm. The work bench is raised and the gun cleaner is placed forward, which gives a working posture you can hold all day without straining your back and shoulders.

Installation and operation

Systemtvätt 195 connects with two exhaust-air connections of Ø250 mm and requires 4100 m³/h exhaust air, plus two supply-air connections of Ø160 mm and 700 m³/h supply air. LED light fitting and solvent recycler are available as accessories. The ventilation requirement is significant – get in touch and we'll go through the conditions in your premises before you decide.

Frequently asked questions

Can several guns be washed at the same time?

Yes, the automatic thinner wash cleans several guns in parallel while the painter does other things. For workshops where cleaning is a bottleneck, it is the single biggest time saving the cabinet delivers.

Can the solvent be recovered?

The cabinet is prepared for a solvent recycler, ordered as an accessory. With the solvent recycler the solvent is recovered automatically and can be used again, which reduces both the purchase of new thinner and the amount of hazardous waste that has to be collected.

What is required of the ventilation?

Systemtvätt 195 has an exhaust air requirement of 4100 m³/h split across two connections of Ø250 mm, plus 700 m³/h supply air via two Ø160 mm. That is a significant requirement – check the capacity of your existing system before deciding, and we're happy to help.

About the exhaust air requirement

The Systemtvätt's exhaust air requirement is calculated for operation as a fume cupboard in premises that are not purpose-built. In a well-ventilated, purpose-built mixing room it can instead be installed as a ventilated cabinet with a clearly lower requirement. Note that this is only a guideline; what actually applies is governed by the premises' area-classification plan and regulations, so check the installation against it. Contact us and we'll size it correctly.

Check the dimensions first

The Systemtvätt is 225 cm tall and will not go upright through a standard door (~200 cm). It is laid down on its side, slid in and stood up in place – allow for at least about 3.0 m ceiling height. Contact us if you are unsure.

About the light fitting

When using the Systemtvätt, good working light makes both handling and safety easier. A light fitting is ordered separately as an accessory; the Ex-rating requirement follows the premises' area-classification plan. Contact us and we'll put together a solution that suits your premises.

What applies for delivery and commissioning?

The lower pedals are delivered inside the cabinet and are fitted according to the assembly instructions. The cabinet must be connected to compressed air and, depending on the configuration, water before it is put into use.
