Midimix 195 – low ventilated mixing bench

Midimix 195 is a ventilated mixing bench with a low, open design. Where a full-height cabinet would block the light or obstruct a door, Midimix fits beneath the window and lets the daylight continue into the premises.

It is a product that solves a concrete planning problem. In many workshops the best spaces run along an outer wall with windows — natural light, close to the door, logistically right. But that is exactly where a 2250 mm cabinet cannot be placed. Midimix 195 makes that space usable again.

The bench is used for paint mixing in workshops where ceiling height, incoming light or window placement limit how the mixing room can be laid out. The spacious work surface gives room to work in an organised way with several cans and cups at once, and the spill edge keeps what is spilled on the bench rather than on the floor.

Midimix 195 meets the requirements for safe handling of isocyanates and solvents, and is therefore a fully equivalent alternative to a tall mixing cabinet when space demands it.

Beneath the worktop are ventilated base cabinets for safe storage of paint and solvent. This means the material stands ventilated between jobs too, not only when it is in use. The bench is prepared for a built-in LED luminaire, ordered as an accessory, which provides the light needed to assess colour accurately.

The construction is Swedish-made in robust materials, built to withstand daily workshop operation over a long time.

Midimix 195 has an exhaust-air requirement of 3600 m³/h — more than a Mix 195 cabinet, because the open design requires a higher air-change rate to maintain the same level of safety. It is an important thing to work out before deciding, and something we are happy to go through together with your ventilation contractor.

Bear in mind the hazardous-area classification plan (zone 2). Because Midimix has no supply air, zone 2 in the electrical classification plan normally extends 1.5 metres out from the cabinet — compared with 0.5 metres for a Mix cabinet with supply air. Make sure, therefore, to keep the clear space around the bench free, and always check the zoning against the current classification plan for your mixing room.

Midimix 195 is a mixing bench — the same function as a Mix cabinet, but in a low, open form.
