Preparandum is a mobile masking trolley where the tape is applied directly onto the paper, ready for masking. It comes in two versions: Preparandum (9-902) with three paper rolls (40, 20 and 7.5 cm) and a tape holder for applying tape straight onto the paper, and Preparandum 100 (9-901), which also has room for a 100 cm wide masking-film roll.
The difference between the two models is in practice a question of what kind of work the workshop does most of. Preparandum (9-902) is enough for smaller masking jobs; anyone who often covers whole cars needs the masking-film roll on Preparandum 100 (9-901).
The trolley is used during the masking stage, right at the car. The rolls for 40, 20 and 7.5 cm paper cover the widths used in everyday work, and the tape holder means the painter doesn't have to hunt for the tape roll between each step.
On Preparandum 100 the masking-film holder can be switched between vertical and horizontal position, so the film can be pulled out in whichever direction the work requires — along the side of a car or over the roof.
The construction is powder-coated steel in Green Line's green colour. The trolley has large swivel castors that roll easily on both smooth workshop floors and grating — a detail that matters in premises where the floor isn't level all the way to the car.
Preparandum 9-902 can later be complemented with the Addum 100 top bar (9-910). Preparandum is delivered unassembled.
